We make food we can serve our family. Our jams and marmalade are made with 100% real fruit and pure cane sugar. We never use artificial ingredients, high fructose corn syrup, fake fillers or preservatives. Our jams and marmalade are all naturally vegan and gluten-free.

We source our ingredients locally, when possible. We know which farms all of our ingredients come from. We’re even making some of our own organic pectin. We believe that everything that goes into our products, and then into our bodies, must be true and real.

We presently offer the twelve flavors presented below.

Bitter Orange Marmalade

Bitter Orange Marmalade.
This complex marmalade is simultaneously sweet with a slight bitter undertone, as it’s classically supposed to taste. It goes well on toast and scones. While it would probably go well on hearty meats, it never lasts long enough to try it as such. We’ll report back, once we’re able to experiment with that option. We’re told that certain dukes and countesses cannot get enough of it.

Blackberry Jam

Blackberry Jam.
“When I was a child, I used to raid an enormous stand of wild blackberry bushes behind a potting shed across the road from my Grandma, Nell. I could not eat enough of them. The first time that I came in with my face painted with blackberry juice, she was horrified and thought I had poisoned myself. I ran out laughing, and brought her back some tied in a handkerchief. She pulled a bucket from a metal cabinet on the side of her kitchen and instructed me to fill it up. From those berries, she whipped together this jam, along with a pie and syrup.”  – Jennifer, Nell’s Granddaughter & Ellie’s mother

Blueberry Jam

Blueberry Jam.
Each spoonful pulls your senses to the most glorious blueberry patch during the height of blueberry season. It’s Ellie’s favorite, especially on peanut butter and jam sandwiches. All of her friends agree. Children love it, and so do adults. It goes well with peanut butter on sandwiches, on toast, with hearty meats, and with cheese.

grape 8 oz
Grape Jam

Grape Jam.
An American Classic. Since we offer it as a jam, not a jelly, it’s packed with grapes, not water.

grapefruit 8 oz
Grapefruit Marmalade

Grapefruit Marmalade.
This classic hand cut marmalade is sweet and bitter. If you like grapefruit, you’re probably going to quite like this. It is complex and sophisticated. It goes well on toast, or paired with and as a glaze for, pork.

lemon 8 oz
Meyer Lemon Marmalade

Meyer Lemon Marmalade.
This fruit looks like a chubby lemon that tastes sweeter than the regular. One could make lemonade out of Meyer lemons without adding sugar; in fact, we do at home. This marmalade is sweet and tart, while not bitter at all. It tastes a bit like Italian lemon ice, which one may spread on buttered toast. It’s a delightful way to begin the day, when swirled in one’s morning oatmeal.

Quince 8 oz
Quince Jam

Quince Jam.
This fruit looks like a cousin of apples and pears, but tastes completely different from both. If eaten raw, it’s generally quite bitter and distasteful. Once processed, it’s subtle with floral undertones. It refreshes the palate. It goes well on its own, or paired with cheese, berries, apples or pears. It’s hard to forget, once one has tasted it.

peach 8 oz
Peach Jam

Peach Jam.
We searched high and low for the best peaches for our jam. We found them. Fishkill Farms peaches make this jam stand out in the crowd.

Raspberry Jam

Raspberry Jam.
WOW! This jam is a rocket of flavor. Not only does it go well on scones, toast, and other such ditties, it also holds up well in cookies and, dare we say it, donuts. We often use it for thumb print cookies. Try it; you won’t regret it.

lemon 8 oz
Strawberry Jam

Strawberry Jam.
Our version of this pantry staple explodes with flavor. This jam exceeds your sense memories of what awesome strawberry jam SHOULD taste like.

Quince 8 oz
Strawberry Rhubarb Jam

Strawberry Rhubarb Jam.
“Starting when I was five, my Grandmother would call me into the kitchen to tell me it was rhubarb harvest time. I’d get so excited, because it was one of my first official jobs. She’d give me a blunt knife and send me out to the rhubarb patch to  harvest the stalks. Only bring back the pink ones, she’d say.” – Patricia, Nora’s Granddaughter, Nell’s daughter, and Ellie’s Grandma.

The addition of rhubarb gives this jam a pleasant mild tartness that offsets its yummy sweetness.

Pure Maple Syrup

Maple Syrup is a natural wonder and as close to nature as we can get. At Mercurio Farms, we tap the sugar maple trees in our sugar bush just as the sap begins to flow. It streams into huge buckets, which we carry to our wood fired evaporators, working overtime, reducing the clear liquid into gloriously golden syrup. We can it as it cools, and offer it to you for your enjoyment.
We love it on pancakes, and used as a sweetener in cookies and cakes. It’s also scrumptious in coffee and tea. Yummmmm……

Pure Wildflower Honey

Pure Honey

Our happy honeybees flit about our farm, Mercurio Farms, pollinating everything for us. We also help them by keeping a monarch way-station on some of our fields for all pollinators to use. Our hard working bees thankfully bring the nectar back to their hives and make this glorious honey, which we must remove to give them space to create more. We leave it raw to preserve its goodness.
